I think it would be a lot better from a tie down perspective and wouldn’t have to worry about the cylinders leaking off and making your chain loose…but it’s a new machine so probably not an issue -
If I layed it flat it would have been on my chassis chains, cause I always cross the chassis. It just cut down on how much paint I need to watch out for.
Not so worried about that on older stuff.
That and honestly, I had done it that way before. Max out the curl and arm and apply a bit of down pressure on main. No much but.... Which keeps the chain pulling in a way that it can't go further, and if it trys to uncurl it tightens the chain.Last edited: Nov 4, 2022
