thanks for the replies everybody the truck is at vangaurd trucks in atlanta. good advice on paying it off early to avoid intrest the lady at the dealership said the same thing about not taking the whole 60 months to pay it off and avoid alot of that intrest. Will let everyone know how it works out going to an auction in pittsburgh tomorrow if that dosen't work out will be heading down atlanta to check the truck out.

Coole If this is the truck you are planning to keep, pay it off as soon as possible otherwise get a payment as low as possible. You might end up trading it in in another 6 months. Of course dealers say pay it off fast, they have relationships with banks. Just get a Low intrest rate!!!!! Look at it this way when you go to a dealer they try to put you in a vehicle on a lease in the highest payment, yet you want the lowest payment. You can save yourself the most money at the table when you swap vehicles.

go to your local bank I got 5.75% on 60 months

Run like Hell. You want no part of MBE engine. They should be paying you to take it off their hands. Offer them 10k and then walk away. Also 80 gallon tanks? Are you going to be doing local work?
-
Mercedes engine is why its so cheap. 80 gal tanks is a pain in long haul. Looks clean and miles low tho. There was a recall on those engines, if you get it make sure the fuel lines were replaced. Engine fires burned many of them to the ground.
-
Agree on the MB engine. You see those in trucks that cost much less. You'll be dealing with a much limited service network and some pretty pricey parts compared to a Detroit or Cummins powerplant. 80 gallon tanks will wear you out fast too. I've got 140 gallon tanks and it's nice not having to fill up as often.

Credit is based on more than just making payments. Your credit score is based on so many different things. If you want to start building credit get something smaller. Maybe gas card, credit card, dont run a balance on the card use it pay it off. You will start building credit. Stay at a job dont jump around it will help your credit.

slabrunner, The Challenger and scratch Thank this. -
Hope you got a chance to load test that trl.
May look good mty, but you need to put a load on it to see if it sags.
IE goes negative..
Good luck with everything..
Like other posters have stated, When making extra payments make sure you write in the lower left corner in memo that it's to be applied to princpal.
Make sure they do not write the loan as a lease.
If they do that it will cost you the same not matter if you pay it off early.
I did that buying the trl. I bought, but had several reasons for doing so and I went in it with my eyes wide open..
Title is in my name and bank together.. -
Congrats on the trailer! Let's see some pictures posted here!!!
The Challenger Thanks this.
