Do I tell my company about me speeding ticket now, or after the verdict is finalized?
Has anyone here received a ticket and what was the end result? I got a ticket in Cali.

Legally you only need to tell them after there is a conviction. Companies can, however, have stricter policies.
If you got a CVSA inspection you have to tell them about that at least.

Did you get an attorney to try to get it reduced to a non-moving violation?

It matters greatly in which California county you receive a speeding ticket while operating a CMV.

It also matters if you have been issued an ordinary speeding citation versus a citation that includes an inspection, say a level 3 inspection.

An ordinary speeding ticket you may contest in court and have the speeding infraction reduced. Unless the county where you received the citation disallows such.

Your best bet is to contact a trucker's attorney.

You could send the DA a clear and convincing letter and ask that the charge be dismissed.

Call Road Law at 888 278 8000 and tell them where you got your speeding ticket and they will tell you what to do, they have helped me with two tickets one 15 over after I had dropped my trailer and wasn't paying attention and state trooper did a u turn on a 2 lane and lit up his tires and lights and when l went to court he told me how much cash to have on me and how to dress and in court the only one who can reduce the overage of your speeding ticket was the trooper who asked the judge what my life time driving record was like and knocked it down to 10 over and a state plus county fine that totaled to what my lawyer told me to have with me because if you went on a payment plan you were also on probation till it was paid

    Depending on the circumstances.

I hired a lawyer. They got it reduced to a logbook violation.

You still pay the speeding fine. Plus lawyer fee.

Always get a lawyer for traffic violations. Most states don't care about the ticket. They just want your money.

DO NOT get a ticket in Wyoming or New Mexico. They hate truckers. You have no chance of reducing tickets in those two states. Lawyers will even tell you to not waste your money in retaining their services.

Unless things changed in the last 6 years.
