How do you make a c12 work in a truck it was never intended for?

Let me see here....oh i see you run a volvo! Good for you! They use an entirely diffrent system then a paccar, generally built inhouse instead of the cummins one. But hay i guess because volvo and paccar are entirely diffrent systems with about as much in common as apples and pineapples that what applies to volvo also applies to paccar right? and because paccars are diffrent i am TOTALLY being swindled just because your VOLVO is cheaper right?

    Try again.

If the op is the same guy that was asking how to put a c12 in a 2017 t680 or whatever it was a few days ago. It’s throwing good money after bad. In the end you are going to have a ton of cash tied up in something that isn’t worth much.

That pretty much sounds like text book swindling. Idk… but if something cost you twice what the equivalent cost.

So you mean all paccar products in general? The ones that the joke on price has been "the peterbilt premium" since my FATHER was in diapers back before paccar was even a thing? Ya know i could keep argueing. But frankly i get the feeling your stuck in the "your a dramatic liar" mode and even if i had all of the quotes infront of me and posted them you would still call me a liar and pat yourself on the back for being a better businessman. Good on you, because quite frankly you just arent worth my time or effort.

Well…. If you’re about to drop 75 grand on a 5 year old 579(75 grand is the numbers you were throwing around in another thread) that’s bad business. Also in that other thread you mentioned you bumped your torque up and it sheared a u joint clean in two. A u-joint that you said was rated for 1500 ftlbs. That seems a tad bit dramatic. What did you bump the torque to? 2800ftlbs? Was this the same truck that you said was deleted but you had them leave it at factory power settings?

It’s probably best you don’t have time to argue with me.

C12 is not the desirable engine.
$6500 is the median asking price for a running engine with some love done to it. 22k for a fresh rebuild.

    I want mpg not 800hp.
C12, tuned to 500hp is plenty to pull my 35k typical load east of Mississippi.

Can't see how a $7000 engine, and swap labor is going to cost more than a 18k in frame for the paccar, if it doesn't need a head and turbo.

Not me. IDC what it's worth when done, I could have sold it last year for 100k if I was going to sell it. I like my areo truck, but at 620k miles, I am planning for the worst. Could last to 1.2 mil to be honest since it's not eating its own poop.

I have been having a noise when coasting, sounding like a bearing, for 100,000 miles.

To turn up a paccar you have to go through paccar for the update and then delete.

Sigh, here we go. because i wont engage with you suddenly like all of your type "oh ima just insert words in his mouth and imply #### that aint true" but thats pretty typical of your type. First no i set it to 1650. The STANDARD engine setting for this truck. Dont belive me kindly call peterbilt and ask what the standard setting is for 455 is its 1650. When i very first bought the truck it was an old fleet unit. The fleet had it set at 1400 and heavily governed. I simply set it to the standard setting up from economy not knowing it had a lighter spec on it due to not being listed anywhere and snap.

Second yes its modified and yes i had them keep the settings at the exact same 455/1650, again if you dont belive me on that as a standard setting go see peterbilt and kindly disprove me. Also why would i have them suddenly bump me to more then those settings? What would be the point? Lulz? If you read my thread where i have documented every #### thing about this truck for TWO YEARS i never WANTED a delete and have never been comfortable with it.

But hay because i wont engage with you keep putting words in my mouth, frankly i dispise your type. "Oh he said X ima make it seem he said Y instead" your kind are litterally the worst type of sub human. Im done with you.
