Hate to be that guy,but I've requested a new dm for the 2nd time in as many weeks.

2000 miles a week won't cut it,I'm pretty much an easy going driver.

Ended up deadheading me to Byhalia for a Reno from Kansas City. Short week, only 1670 miles.

Done in Seattle. Started dropping Monday morning. 2 drops, 2 drops yesterday and 2 drops this morning. This is why I get pissed off. This load was officially sent to me while I was in the Richmond yard last Wednesday. Here it is a week later, I’m empty, and the response is, “working on it”. Outstanding.

No excuse for that bs… And a lot of office people Like to sit there and tell drivers trip plan… They may want to follow that same advice and have a truck planned out especially when they got a week to do it.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why they can’t plan two loads at a time or at least a day or two out before a truck is empty.

Think some of the problem is,some of the dispatchers are still learning on the job.

The newest one lasted 6 days. Was let go yesterday. Poor Fred.

The problem with learning on the job? After 17 DM’s in 10 years, I have zero patience nor the energy to babysit a new DM while they learn the job. They need to hire people from trucking, not an ex barista from Starbucks or a third shift chicken tender maker from Popeyes.
