I know you know how to keep trucks moving and I respect that . Expedite used to be a different ball game but they are accepting a lot more regular LTL freight now .

Thats very true. We run our butts off when we are under a load but after that....you better have plenty of books to read while your waiting for that next load!

I still have a hard time with this my self. I am used to running like hell to del and then picking up another load that same day. Expediters run like hell to get there then are board as hell waiting for 2 or 3 days until the next load comes around..........i HATE sitting!

I have said this before about FedX and get the same responce. I know that in this line of work you sit a lot,i hear that evey day but it still seems to me that a company as big as FedX could be looking for something to keep their drivers running rather than sitting so much! Even if the driver finds a load through another sorce to haul when Fedx has nothing,Fedx will not let that driver take it!

But then agian,it's not their trucks, they are not paying payments and they are not burning up their profits while waiting so why would they care if we sit in Cali for a week!

You cannot drive for an o/o. An o/o owns and operates the truck. If you are driving for someone you are driving for a fleet owner, a small fleet owner with 1 truck or a large fleet owner with 100 trucks. Try and get the terminology correct.

:biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523: I'll let that slide. Just one of my pet peeves along with "semi truck". The truck is not semi, the trailer is as opposed to a full trailer.

The problem with being as Blessed as I am is it leaves me too much time to let inconsequental things aggravate me. I'll run off and drop a few hits of Valium and I'll be OK when I get back.:biggrin_25525:

Actually we are Lease Contractors and those employed by us are Sub Contractors.
If I run under my own Authority the Drivers are still Sub-Contractors

Well I found out this pass week, the o/o is going run the truck as a team.So ill will have a co-driver now.He told me its still going to be a 60/40 spilt becouse the truck going make more money as team truck rather a solo truck. Now my co-driver is waiting to get a load into Florida so he can pick me up.Now here the deal, the co-driver lives in the same state as the o/o,so which means if I need hometime,I going have to find a load to Florida each time and when im ready to hit the road agian, the co-driver have to get a load into Fl.I hope this will work out.:biggrin_25524:
