Most people think of Texas as a welcome reprieve from the busy body nonsense you get in a liberal state and, for the most part, it is.
Queen City DOT runs every day and they are unpredictable in their hours. Sometimes they’ll be open early evenings. I’ve gotten multiple random level 1 inspections there (highest level) thankfully without getting any tickets but you sure as hell don’t want to be running with a burned out tail light going through Queen City or it’s guaranteed you’ll get a ticket.beastr123, snowman1980, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
austinmike and Deadwood Thank this.

I have very little experience in East Texas but hauled a lot of oil out of the area around Madisonville, North Zulch, Caldwell, and BCS.
Historically, lots of companies have / had yards around Kilgore.austinmike Thanks this. -

In the late 1990's when I worked for Patterson, it was I-30 North side, I-10 on the south side, I -45 east to I-49. Was what Patterson call East TX / West LA back then.
