I re-read your previous post, and you mentioned bad fuel economy.
Valves out of adjustment or timing will leave un-burned fuel.

4 scenarios I can think of:
    1) - Open too soon and cuts off charge to cyl. - (timing)
    2) - Closes to soon and traps exhaust - (timing)
    3) - Opens valve lift too shallow - (valve adj.)
    4) - Closes valve lift too much - (valve adj.)

The first two are for both the intake and exhaust valves.

The last two are hard to describe, because it is a setting, on a spot in cam rotation,
that can be either too loose or too tight. (#4 can break things.)
Any of the above 4 should show wet on your exhaust.

Would that throw any code and make the check engine light come on? I don't have any light on and no diagnostic codes on the dash

Did it cause issues with your truck having a surging or jerking sensation going up hill and such?

Yes it did, while it was over 10 years ago.....I remember I had to have it towed when I broke down going up a hill on I75 in Kentucky

Well I'm hoping that's all my issue is then. I found a fuel line coming off passenger side tank running along frame rail leaking. The surging, jerking, bucking feeling has only gotten worse gradually as has the fuel leak. Also notice when I run my thermo king bunk heater there's a little fuel drip from that as well. Been to 3 shops so far and everyone says it drives fine for them. It does for the most part bobtailing. But even an empty trailer makes it feel completely different. I didn't even notice the leak really until I thought I was losing coolant to apu got under the truck cause that's where the coolant shut off valves were and it was way wetter and more oily than any couple cups of coolant I topped off the tank with.

If you replace the line it will rule that out.
Find what rubbed a hole in it, and wrap xtra protection there.
Possible where it leaks - there is air going in.

I took it to another shop to get it looked over. I dropped it off Friday and hadn't heard from them yet. But I told them about the fuel line issue. You can see the residue on the frame rail and when I got under the line I think it's rubbed right along about the center of the hose to the bottom edge of the frame rail. Fingers crossed its nothing major. No check engine light or codes I can find in the diagnostic I can access in the dash.

Hope the new shop reroutes the fuel line, or supports it,
so it doesn't touch frame rail there.
I take wire ties and move stuff around a bit to avoid contact,
so it can't become an issue later.
A foot of old heater hose split w/razor blade protects the line,
and secure with 6 or 8 wire ties.
And yes, keep a handful of wire ties with you in the truck, too.
    Never know.

You could check your fuel filter housing for a clogged return. Mine had a piece of plastic in it and it was losing prime.
