Well can't get the bunk heater to light off . Think we need to clean it out when i get home. Dang thing smokes out the truckstop everytime I start it up as it is.... Sometimes just decides not to light, other times takes a couple cycles... i see¦ on youtube you can take it apart and clean out the carbon build up in there... assuming it's factory installed. So 7 years old and I never cleaned it before.. I guess we will idle up tonight. -1 wind chill currently..

Do you have an air blow gun in the cab? If it can reach the fresh air intake tube, when it starting to light, blow air into it while it starts. It’s Like turbo charging. Then turn the thing wide open, full heat. Open a window to keep the temp in the cab down, also so you won’t be roasted out.

Pretty challenging here too. Walked out and got the garbage can in my bare feet. Had to avoid a burr.

Looks like a "Traveling Axle" Landoll. Made in Marysville, KS?

Also make, or did make... Bendi lift trucks. quite a quaint design.

I will try the blow gun trick. I always start it on full heat , otherwise it won't ever get going. Think she just needs a nice cleaning. Or maybe replace glow plug or whatever it uses as a heating element. I thought I read on here before u can run it full blast with kerosene instead of no.2 diesel and that's supposed to break down the carbon build up inside . U ever tried that?

Yeah that's US 26 over Togwotee. I love when you come out on top and its crystal clear like that. Used to run that almost all winter, as it was rarely closed... No matter the weather.

Do you ever run kerosene thru it once in awhile?
