This is more of a support thread.. A lot of users will post issues they find or routing in error so that RM may look at the issues and correct.

I know of no other thread that users can post a issue and get same-day response most of the time straight from the Company that makes the product.

I am the Lead Beta Tester and as such, look for issues before the product version is released to the public. What we cannot find 100% of the time is mapping that is in error in the database. The testers do catch their fair share, but with millions of miles of roads in the US and Canada it is impossible to catch them all.

As for issues that make it to production, some things do slip by. Given the issue from the user, Rand looks into the issue and sees if it is one that has been corrected in a Beta Version or it is a new issue.

I cannot release what future features we put into new versions, but I can tell you if an issue has been resolved.

Thanks and take this thread as a positive for the user - you the professonal driver.

    Mark,
I have another pet peeve about my TND that I'd like to comment on. On the bottom bar on the display, I will usually leave my unit set to indicate the town/city that I'm passing through, as opposed to the highway that I'm on or the nearest cross street, etc. When I stop, however, such as at a truck stop or rest area, more likely than not, that part of the display will go blank and remain so until I'm moving again. This is most annoying, as I need to know the name of the locality that I'm stopped in so that I can list that on my log sheet. Now, I'm forced to make a written note of the town before I stop (if I can remember to do so), so that I'll know where I am for logbook purposes. Can RM change the program so that this part of the display remains constant, even when stopped?
    Thanks,
    Robert (aka Bubba)

I have to "second" this one. The same thing happens in the screen you get when you press the "cog" icon in the lower left. I love that screen when you are on a known highway or street because it shows the building numbers "ticking down" as you roll, (and the nearest cross-street) which makes it waaaay easier at night or in bad weather when you are searching for a building number. However, if you pull into a parking lot, or off the street for whatever reason, that screen often will stop providing the location data until you start driving again. It's not every time, but often enough. At "least" keeping the nearest town should be retained there and in the bottom bar that you are referencing in my humble opinion.

Be nice if there was some alternative when you enter an address that it doesn't know. The invalid address popup doesn't help at all. At least show me the nearest address it can find on that street or go to the map of that area so I can pick it out manually. I'm guessing the 'list' (for valid range) button hasn't been put in yet?

Noted... I forwarded it to RM...sounds like a great suggestion...

will not make in on this next version as that is in QA right now... but, will make it into the next version.

With the next version,, I will have to give some "How-to's". New features that provide more flexiblity in your routing..

    Thanks,
    Mark

My goodness Kajidono.... how did you miss this?

If you do not wish to put in a street or "house" number, to the right on the upper buttons is a "list" button... it will give you a range...

    Thanks,
    Mark

Getting ready to purchase the Intelliroute with my tax refund. I have pretty much read this entire forum and what I would like to know is how much the updates have improved the unit versus the flaws and annoyances that were reported after the unit first rolled out? Is the unit helpful? I currently use a old Garmin 2720 because I can use the via points to match the Qualcomm directions. Does the unit still lock up or misreport mileages etc.

Would appreciate a quick response as I am heading back out tomorrow and expect my refund by Friday.

    Thanks in advance
