Same with me. In fact, I made a Facebook comment in one of my Facebook groups about this topic and even linked it to this thread. I'm making this comment because several people in that group wanted me to know they are seeing trends where it is their OOs running their numbers that are more and more getting towed. Also, it is not so much from Wally Worlds as much as it is getting trailers towed out of truckstops and bobtails out of places trucks are not allowed. I did not know this until several hours ago. It seems that an MCT Transportation OO left a trailer at a truck stop, placed a glad hand lock on it, then went home, I was not told where. But based on some other information I think this happened near SLC Utah about a week ago. The MCT Transportation trailer was towed and impounded. Now for another comment made by a fleet owner I know in Arkansas. This person said the average driver also doesn't know what the single most serious MAJOR crime is in trucking today. HUMAN TRAFFICKING! Just because you can't see it doesn't mean by any measure it is not HAPPENING. LINK2

The bottom line is just because you have never seen something happen doesn't mean it is not happening. It is also a bit disingenuous to imply or infer someone is being deceptive or dishonest when they say something that goes against a person's experiences. Also with this, unless I feel a need I am done with this thread.

I don’t believe you are being deceptive or even necessarily dishonest. I believe you are being dramatic. I also believe dropped trailers get towed. As they should. I don’t however believe that there are enough drivers willing to argue with law enforcement to the point they get their truck impounded and they get arrested that you have seen it several times. To which you admitted that you have never actually seen it. And so far nobody else has. Also illegally parking and getting booted isn’t the same. So roger can stop with that straw man argument.

Come work in our safety department for a week. You'll be amazed at the number of drivers who "know their rights" and will choose to to die on the dumbest of hills.

No he opted for the, "I arrived at wm DC at 3am and parked on the interstate off ramp, then at 630 I drive 5mph with my flashers on [no pc allowed] so I am out of hours but at 630 I will try to check in for a 9am appt. They telled me go away driver until 7am at earliest they have angle parking for staging before the gate but im out of hours right and can't move the truck so they got manager and supervisor or whatever telled me to leave again I refuse they threaten to call popo I telled them go ahead and somehow now I am trespassed. I dont roll my window down for the police I ain't rolling it down for you my company says when I can or can't drive. Ive been drivin for this company for 2 years now i think I know a thing or 2 about how they operate"
