Its 11 years ago. Ran anything required. Service truck, med, heavy, off road equipment. Shop repairs. 40 weeks, 8 hour shifts. If I recall 27.50 per hour medical, accidental insurances, company profit sharing, bonuses, and if your not afraid to work. Just answer phone for overtime. I made pretty darn good money.

I was more surprised by the numbers for this than I was flatbed and step deck and pneumatic when I first got in to trucking...

Only thing I haven't seen to compare is w2 car hauling

I ran heavy for a large outfit in Charlotte and made hourly during my normal shift which was M-F 7-5 I would bring home around $1100. However I also had the option to come in and run commission outside of my normal schedule which I received 30% off the top.
When I wanted to make extra money I’d come in on a Saturday or Sunday and could make 800-1500 in addition to my hourly check.
Most smaller companies you will be strictly commission or some BS hourly/ commission tier #### and be on call as they don’t have the workload to run shifts and don’t want to pay someone to sit.
I started in towing in 2013 and was happy to move into heavy haul, it’s a very dirty and demanding job.
