13 degrees this morning with a heavy dusting of snow and a stiff breeze. This isn’t the doom that was forecast just a crappy winter day that makes people think about moving to Arizona. The gravy enhanced breakfast will enable me to carry on.

28 in Altoona PA. Going to negative temperatures by this afternoon. Wind is already blowing pretty good. This old FLD doesn’t have the ice skate option.
Add: Snow just came out of nowhere.austinmike, Oxbow, DeereRunner97 and 14 others Thank this. -
Here at the bad luck club we want to make you feel as good as possible when life wants to constantly kick you in the nads with a steel toed boot covered in thorns.austinmike, hope not dumb twucker, Oxbow and 16 others Thank this. -
This place has the right idea. They are actually removing all the snow and slush from the dirt drop lot with a skid loader. Most places seem to neglect the unpaved areas and let us slip and fall and get stuck.

55+ years ago I would pray for days like this to get a day off from school.
it’s just a crummy winter day there will be a handful of these days until spring. The benefits of this goes unnoticed such as converting grumpy old people into snowbirds and convincing wussy’s to move to Arizona and Florida. I’m thinking ski season may begin and with a couple more frigid days ice fishing may start.

Was decent out when I left to do a load down into Tx yesterday. Got back to the terminal and it was 15 degrees with a NW wind blowing at over 20 mph. Brrr!!
Down to 5 here at home this am. Might hit 20 today, then gets a little better over the weekend. I know you northerners probably laugh at this, but for down here, this is crazy cold. We have an 70 year old house and while the attic is well insulated there is none in the walls.
At least I'm off until Monday anyway. But I'm sure the wife will find something to keep me busy.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.pete781693, Friend, stuckinthemud and 16 others Thank this. -
