Think it was used, just new to her. However, if I had a new Range Rover, she could have had it as often as she came over for it.....

Have killed, gutted, and cut up some big hogs.
Some discussion here tho. Never had the need to apply, but methinks stabbing does nowhere near produce blood as a slash cut fairly deep'
Stab downward, knife in. Pull knife directly out rapidly, (for next cut/same target or adjoining target) that puncture does not just pour blood. Yes, it will bleed and you will die, depending on where struck. And if the strike was in a vital location (as some think killer had some anatomy knowledge) all would be sudden and silent. Have seen the results of some pocketknives beer joint fights in MS in past years, cut and slashed shirts, blood all over, and one drove himself to med care. Some stitched, most bandaged up, all lived much smarter. Blood does pump out but not in 3 foot streams at high velocity to flood the stabbers face.
It would seem the killer was cognizant, as he stabbed vitals (certain, quiet, and still?) vs throat cutting, for sending more of a horrendous message.
It is a terrible occurrence. The actual facts of the action may never be known, even at trial. I personally think we will all be astounded by the all over truth
when the killer is captured. I think the killer will be caught... Even ole Al Gore speaks of "The Inconvenient Truth" and truth will out

Hard to describe but I doubt any resolve and a definite lack of experience, with reality.
Most men I''d say 45+ have had some experience with firing at other than paper targets. Reality, you press the trigger, boom, something falls,
You go over and pick it up, Dead or you finish it off... But it never moves again.. Reality . I have; at say age 12, seen my dad shoot a hog. Then they proceeded to scald, scrape, hang, gut, half, then portion on out. Hog never made another sound or moved. At 18 and starting work for a meat packer, saw a sturdy about 30 man swinging an 8 lb sledge into a steers head. Collapsed, chain hooked on legs and down the line on the kill floor.
Dad took a 20 gauge shot gun out in the back yard, Gonna scare off blackbirds. Deliberately fired into the ground about 15 feet away, broke it open, reloaded, and turned to me and said: That's what it will do to a person... Lesson learned. Pretty big clump of grass and dirt gouged out.

Now, our younger population have not been exposed to those realities, hence they are just not aware of the results of some actions . And I think they really do not feel/understand what has just occurred in the immediate aftermath. It is not all the computer games; where you kill and wipe out the antagonist, drink a coke, shake or beer, and there he is.... .Kill him again.. Many have never stood alongside a hospital bed or had hold of a body bag end behind an ambulance at roadside. They just do not fully understand reality

No way this was a young guy... He/she pulled it off way to perfectly, to clean, to precise, to quiet, and obviously left little to nothing behind. A younger person would have panicked part way through and gotten sloppy.

I'm thinking 35 to 45 and did it just for the hell of it, or as a vendetta against one of the kids families... Cause what other motive would someone of that description have against a bunch of youngsters?

Agreed... downed game animals rarely if ever move or cry out when the blade is put to them. From what I've read on this case, these kills were executed precisely, quietly, tactically... Calmly. I mean to maintain near silence while executing multiple hits in one house... 2 of which were in the same bed.... Without something raising the alarm???

I'm sitting at my desk drinking some coffee and looking at some already packed suitcases. They are up and getting ready to drive over to Ft Eustis for a bit. They are going to meet up with another Officer and his wife. Eat breakfast and Keri wants to see some of the Helicopters and tour one of the AIT Schools there. Would I be wrong if I hid their suitcases while they are gone?
