I did like the way they responded when asked to change a few things on the quote. Hopefully one day I can get into some custom hauling and use that to my advantage. Thank for the info.

Midwest Trucker and Rideandrepair Thank this.

The rep had put down lower information on running for that reason I guess. Said that is how he keeps the quotes down and said it would not affect anything when running. Got that part in writing just to make sure if anything happens I can go back and show that in court if need be.

How good is the OO Group policy? I might look into getting some extra life insurance with them if that is a good thing.

Great West is not for everyone. Or available to just any trucking company.

Was going to switch to great West after reading such good things about them on here and asking around to some different members on their opinions of them.. but they quoted me 30k. Ended up staying with progressive for half that price. Maybe in couple years their quote will come back down to earth.

Last year they was a little higher then progressive and that was my 3rd year. My fourth year starting is when they went below. I think it would have been cheaper if I had not had to file on my own insurance to fix my truck from the towing incident last year.

I just went with them for my second year. A little lower than my first year was with Progressive.

Great West is one of the best there is. The other good one is Northland.
Great West offers break down towing option for up to $5000 and $250 deductible. Northland too but they have an age limit of a truck...I think no more than 7 years.

The towing is a good thing. Why...?
You don't want to tow a truck with a spun rod bearing to a dealer but to your friendly shop, do you?
It is critical to be able to afford to tow the truck to your home location, especially if the truck is older.

Besides that, any insurance with at least A- rating will be all right.

Nice . I would like to make the switch eventually. Will try to get another quote next year. Progressive send me a huge booklet of all the crap they don't cover in case of a claim. Which is basically everything. Other then that, they have been easy to deal with.

Do you have a poor claims history, high SAFER/ISS number or drivers with sketchy MVR's?
