That's not really helpful advice. If there's a legitimate job offer that's worth my while, I can change it in a day. But I'm not gonna go do it just because you say so. I've had 2 job offers out of state that said I could keep it. But they were both .60 cents in a reefer so I didn't bite yet. I'm trying to find out if these companies advertising are worth the effort that's all

Yeah....I thought about that....but that would tie up too much of your time with chaining, strapping, and tarping.

I don't think you'd be reimbursed properly for all that.....especially in bad weather.

Why not just drive....and make money....instead? :dontknow:

California politicians try to tell the trucking companies how to run the companies and how to pay.
For example, Navajo Express, among others, no longer hire drivers with a California CDL.

The best jobs, the real money makers, don't advertise for drivers. They don't have to, because guys either die or retire there. What few openings they have are filled from applications already on file from people that they already know are suitable. Why not take your time looking for a job and snag something like a good tanker gig or LTL or a line haul run?
There are some great jobs out there. It just takes a little effort to find them.
Most of the 1099 jobs you see are just exactly what they seem to be...a lot of hard work for not very much money. If their cpm is high you can count on not running very many miles. If they pay percentage get ready to deadhead a lot. You'll spend a lot of unpaid time at shippers and receivers.
You probably already know all this since you're actively seeking a 1099 job but they're usually bottom of the barrel outfits who'll coerce you into ruining your driving record.
