I was in a 2020 International LT with an X15 Cummins for a while. Pretty solid drive train with decent power for a fleet truck. Didn’t run into emissions issues, but truck only got up to 370k miles while I was in it
I can name a dozen other reasons I hate international such as squeaks and rattles 24/7, cheapest interior possible, cruise control that barely kept the truck within 2-3mph of what you set it at, rode terrible, ugly as sin, etc.JC1971, RockinChair, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this. -
This is why everyone needs one of these. They practically fix themselves while you drive down the road. And women throw themselves at the truck just trying to even catch a glimpse of the driver. It has changed my life.
broke down plumber, IH9300SBA, Tropsnart and 15 others Thank this. -
I’d bet my 174 dollar life savings that it’s named ‘Ole Red’stuckinthemud, blairandgretchen, Phoenix Heavy Haul and 2 others Thank this.

Well I don’t accept checks. But you can donate that money to the NIH in my name.

We actually named her Hayley after this goofy girl that lives down the street that had a weird shade of red colored hair. She doesn’t know how famous she is on our block LOL. -

Lonesome and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
I bet in the 60's the terms ... DEF... & Re-Gen were non existentI I'am pretty sure the EPA was still quite new and didn''t have the power they now seem to have also in the 60's CARB was just a abbreviation for the word Is carburetor not some Nazi run war party from the land of Oz... just say'n.... and most important of all.... in the 60's the Beattles were still a band & Elvis hadn't left the building yet..
Most all of us have gone on a rant about the newer trucks and Is emissions & sensors & wiring.. Personally thats one of the main reasons I own mechical motors
But you are showing your ignorance because you seem to belive Internationals are the only trucks that have issues and are unwilling to listen to what someother members are trying to explain
I have a bit of news for you the Farmyard Ferrari is not the only truck that has had issues that you are complaining about .. other truck manufacturers have cheapened up their products too... just not maybe quite as much
If you want to complain & kick dirt you should 1st point the finger at our Government & the EPA & the kool-aid drinking tree hugging crowd that threw fits and countless money to lawmakers from their glitter covered saddle bags while they sat on the backs of their pink Unicorns
I will give you this ..JMHO a max-force motor is probably the biggest POS diesel motor everbuild except for maybe the ford 6.0 & 6.4 powerjoke
But to Completely trash the International Truck for It's previous years of economical quality service .. is just Un American.. bet you don't like baseball hot dogs apple pie & Chevrolet eitherLast edited by a moderator: Jan 10, 2023

What was it, around 1971-72 when they started dropping the horsepower on cars? GM used pistons that were beveled around the outer edge in place of the flat top, lowered compression and other things were just the beginning. Then came smog pumps and other things, but never got real bad till the last 25 years maybe….?JoeyJunk, Brettj3876 and Last Call Thank this. -
I think your about spot on .. 1971 was when things starting going south.. lower compression motors ..extra vacum lines to open and close power robbing anti- smog devices.. yeah it was F....g great
Thats when the Gender Identification issue started to ..
You know .. It looks like a muscle car .. but runs like a VWLast edited by a moderator: Jan 10, 2023
