@motocross25 I saw one of your company trucks yesterday, the trailer had an America mural on it, the driver was not radio friendly so I didn't ask about you.
I have given thought to stretching out some myself but it'll be after I buy another trailer. Who knows maybe I'll see you in B'ham as I am there or at Tuscaloosa at least twice a day.
@Trashtrucker1707 I've been looking for you, but I rarely go to ES&G as I load in the plant that I deliver to @ Montgomery or Prattville. I load everyday at Martin Marietta M O'Neal in Calera. Look for me I'll buy lunch. FYEI this offer is for any of ya'll in my area

@motocross25 will you move up in to a bigger sleeper now that you’re on the road, or stick with the old school coffin box?

Well thanks for thinking of me anyway @NightWind the odds of a road driver knowing me are slim to none tho. There’s only about 3 or 4 road guys that park at Peterbilt with me in KC and they’re all dedicated grinding balls to the mines out west.

@Trashtrucker1707 im sticking with the coffin box! I plan on just being out sporadically and only for a few days at a time. I like the truck I’m in now, and I don’t want them getting any ideas with a bigger bunk I can stay out longer!

Well after a little bit of deciding back and forth between running to colorado with salt and bringing rock back, Dispatch decided with them calling for a bit of weather in Colorado and my truck being one of the few without automatic chains, to err on the side of caution and just keep me in state for the time being. Fine by me! Burn rock to the power plant, loaded wheat south of Topeka for Wichita, and reloading salt back to KCMO.

Ok I'll admit I have never heard of automatic chains but of course I had to Google it. What is the world coming to when the truck does all the fun stuff at -10

Other than on ambulances, I’ve never seen them until I started here. The guys that have em swear by them. I guess even climbing some of the roads up to the mines in the spring when it gets muddy they come in handy.

I dumped in a warehouse today where the city of KCMO is stockpiling and treating salt. Everyone else had their short trailers and was in and out I had to watch the rafters, dump in between them and then be sure not to pull up too far so the bed could come down and not clip one. Still beats waiting for a green light at a grocery warehouse dock!
