i know of a shop near me that does welding and fabrication work.
The owner hires felons .
Almost all of them have “obtaining a job “ as part of their parole or probation.
he treats them fairly except for the pay .
He pays about half of what they could earn at any other shop , and some of them drive over an hour to work , because they can’t find a job anywhere else and they gotta have a job to stay out on parole .
Trouble getting a company to hire me. i would love some advice

My response was to the person who was basically saying that there is a problem with parole having a requirement to LOOK for employment versus a requirement to GET employment. All of the other stuff has nothing to do with my response to that initial statement.

Then don't complain when you have homeless people begging on street corners because there is no free market solution for social problems. Things like homelessness and other such problems are social problems. A free market is brutal and unforgiving. So, where does the assistance for the people who are the chaff sorted out by a free market come from? You don't want government helping people, so don't complain when it's a problem that isn't going away. People like yourself want every person to go get a job. Guess what? In a capitalist free market system, there are not enough jobs for every person who needs one to have one. That's why things like homelessness exist. Also, the US sucks at taking care of military veterans. They went to war and served our country. They shouldn't have to work, if they don't want to. They did their job. Be grateful and help those who were willing to die. Are your tax dollars too good for that?

the easiest way to find these people is to own rental property.
99.8% of renters are worthless deadbeat losers who wouldn’t work a day if their life depended on it . -
Such a blanket statement for people that served in the military.
I would agree that those that were disabled because of that service should be taken care of - and taken care of well, not just on a basic level; I would not agree that simply doing time in the military should give one a free ride through the rest of their life.
