    Good afternoon,

I thought I’d share with you my journey. Ever since my dad died, I have wanted to re-obtain my CDL. I finally got word from my family that I have their blessing. With that being said, I find that I need to go to trucking school again. I kind of figured this might happen. Some companies I’m looking at:

    Davis
    Indian River
    Crete Carrier
    Schneider
    Leonard’s Express
    DOT Foods
    Paper Transport
    CFI

Any advice would be welcome. Also, if you have gone to Flagler technical college, or sage, please comment below. Finally, I want to think everyone who commented on my previous thread, and everyone that contributes to my success.

austinmike, tscottme and Chinatown Thank this.

Indian River is the best one on there, in my opinion, followed by Leonard's Express and DOT Foods

I got off the phone with the recruiter from Indian River and he said that currently they do not have any regional available. Also, their training program should be up by the time I’m ready which will be in about six months.

I did speak to a recruiter from Davis out of Starke and she said they are only hiring from the approved schools on their website. Right now I am looking for something regional or a good team driving position that I can go to in six months when I will be ready. I’m still recovering from surgery and I’m just doing my research and crossing my I’s and T’s.

Old Dominion Freight Line has team runs.
Probably make over $100G for each driver on the team.
    Hires from approved cdl schools.

    Does Millis hire in Florida?

In order to go to Millis, it’s a one-year commitment. Otherwise you owe $7500 from what the recruiter just told me over the phone. Also, same with heartland you must go to Millis otherwise you have to have six months of prior experience.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
