How many times have you switched jobs

    The better companies want you to have as few employers as possible. I've seen questions on apps recently asking how many jobs/employers have you worked for in the last 5 years. As a general rule the better the employer the more picky they will be about the background requirements of possible drivers.

    I worked for 5 companies in 28 years. I stayed at one employer (Averitt Express) for 18 years.

    Since 1977, 5. Maybe six since the one I’m with currently bought my previous company. I will hit 20 years with it in July.

    Wow thank you for all the reply’s. Going to try stick it out with my current job but we will see seems like after two years I always get bored of the job or want to find something better. Just always wondered if this happens to other drivers as well or not. it’s Eather the benifts are really good and not anough hours or the benifts are crap and to much hours it’s always back and forth. Right now I’m at the benifts suck but the hours are there

    4 times in 44 years,,,I dont count the few jobs i did as fillers while looking for work..nobody in their right mind would stay on Reefer, Chip Haul or Gravel Haul.

    Usually as long as you're less than six employers in 3 years you will be okay. I am not afraid to list why I left a company, if my pay was shorted or whatever and if any company has an issue with that then I know not to work for them anyway.

    The Yellow I worked for is not the Yellow of today. I'd steer clear, personally.
