I'd give Mast Trucking a call. When I was looking, I took a good look at them. They look the part to me. I get you may want flatbed, but you gotta take what you can get in order to get experience. If you move out of NYC, you can always go back to trying out flatbed.

Binkali59 Thanks this. -
Harrt has yards in Maine and South Carolina and runs up and down I-95.
Cowan with the green trucks runs I-95 a lot.
Carlisle Pennsylvania is a big hub for trucking In the Northeast. It's not too far from NYC. -
if you need info abt G&C let me know,I just started with them I can email you pay and perks which are pretty unbeliveable. One perk is after 8 years you can spec out your own tractor, driver speced out a 240,000 Pete, they didnt bat an eyebrow.I left local hrly pay for them,3 weeks vac 1st year payed out on your 12 week avg. w ith 72 hr notice. Its a regional job.2 days out,1 day off,2 days out, home for the full weekend.

I had the same problem when I started , I could not understand why the hiring area applied to me since I did not want hometime there.
But every guy that realizes he is in a no hire area is going to say the same thing we do just so he can get hired, Once hired they change their tune and say they need to get home for a few days and it becomes a huge headache for dispatch.
Its because some guys messed it up long ago -

Do you have to live near Syracuse to be hired as a driver?
I can't find any other terminals; just an office or something in Doral, Florida
