There's a large chunk of beef and purple onions at the bottom. I like lots of carrots.

Good finish (as apposed to framing) carpenters are a thing of the past. Used to be the finish carpenters would set the doors, windows, stair treads, and cabinets.

Most doors are now delivered inside a jamb set. Unfortunately most modern jambs will not support a heavy door, the jambs is just pretty filler.

The door installer should have pulled out a couple of the hinge screws and used longer ones that get into the wall framing. Or pulled the hinges and put a long screw through the jamb (and any shims) to the wall so the head would be under the hinge.

Well, I just had what I think is the strangest conversation ever in my 29 years of marriage to Missus Skillet......

I get home from work, and she says to me, "Guess what happened today?"

    "I don't know", I said.

    "Can ya guess?"

    (Mental Rolodex) "Uhhhhh......your mother died?"

    "Yep. 3:50pm."

    "Uhhhhh.....'condolences'?"

    "Why'd you say THAT?"

    "It's what you're supposed to say....I guess."

Missus Skillet rolled her eyes at me.

Her mom was 97 years OLD, been bedridden for a couple years....full on deee-CLINE.

So, life "wasn't doin' her any favors", as they say.

We are "free at last.......thank God Almighty, we are free at last".
