Is there something in WV about being able to return to base with equipment when oversize after hours?
I thought about this because back to the original topic in this thread, I believe there is something similar in Atlanta..... -
I ended up dropping down to Nashville and going across 40 to 81-64. It appears I had to check the box to send the permit for review(West Virginia). I didnt know when it'd come back and I had to be in Norfolk Friday.

I don’t know if it’s still the case, because TN overhauled their whole oversize regs a few years ago, but it used to be a $20 fine to haul over dimension without a permit. Many times I’d just roll without a permit, because delays would cost more than the $20 fine if caught.
beastr123, lynchy, Jubal Early Times and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ive seen numerous trucks dinged for oversize after hours,,,,huge fine. They think because its so remote in our area that they will go unnoticed. The police escort into a parking area at 3am is a sure sign buddy going to be digging deep in their pockets.
