2. Daddy fully inflates the airbags, then deflates them approx. 3 seconds, 99% of time this works. We're fine until we are unloaded, then we start our crazy jig again. But the groaning is vastly improved using this trick. -
Just a thought, try getting out when it's doing that and looking at the attitude of the truck. Does it seem like it's sitting lower or higher in the front or rear than it normally does? From your comment about vibration, I'd say the bags are dumping - a problem in the leveling switch on the drives. If it's not showing up on your dashboard with the warning and the buzzer, it's most likely mechanical and not the switch or wiring.
Now, I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Altitude and not the Attitude (lol our truck doesn't talk to us, but then the groaning might be attitude) of our truck. We have checked the levels with a measuring tape and they are level on each side even we're having the groaning issue. -
We will have that checked, but the truck is level, same height both sides, when your leveler arm went out, was your truck still even? -
Now, for all of you who have given us such helpful advice.... One more question.
Where do you get your volvo worked on? -
daddy&mama2go Thanks this.

Hey Outerspacehillbilly, some call me Maurice!

Replaced all 4 of my batteries at just over 500K. Two of them did not work period, and it was obvious the other two had boiled over before, its was just time ya know...
Drivers seat, the dang arm on the right side fell off the other day. Its just a $.02 clip that failed, but I already know the routine with Volvo, they wont sell me the clip, but they will sell me a new chair for a couple grand. On the upside, I got to looking at the passenger seat, it is identical to the drivers seat, and I am hoping I can just swap them out and be good to go.
Don't be too hard on them for not cleaning the truck too well. I got the exact opposite problem with mine. It was cleaned and gone through with a fine tooth comb. The undercarriage was painted with OD (Over Dirt) black, and that hides ALL the trucks issues. Not to mention trying to chase a bad wire or air line. They are ALL black, and it takes extra time to rub paint off to figure out the actual color.
My truck has the air gauge on the monitor screen. LOL, although I installed a 2" round gauge into my truck before realizing it was already there. The factory gauge runs about 4-5 psi slower than the round gauge. But, once it has settled for a minute or so they are both dead on the same. Redundant is good I suppose... daddy&mama2go, you can easily install a gauge yourself with min mechanical ability. They cost about $40 with the mount. I mounted mine near where your left knee goes, and its nearly a perfect install. Looks like it came from the factory that way. I drug the air line through the airline manifold that resides on engine side of firewall drivers side. Pulled out one of the rubber plugs in that manifold, and fed it through. The rest of it is easy. You just need a T fitting, snip the air line near one of the bags and add your T and air line. Easy peazy lemon squeezy.
I kinda think the electrical issues were on the older Volvo's, and the newer trucks still carry that negativity. -

Our screen guages are outside temp, battery voltage, oil. So I suppose we do need to have one installed. I'm pretty sure that $40 do-it-yourself job would only run me around $4000. I have the mechanical ability of a howler monkey instead of a grease monkey so I can't be trusted to do more than drive through the truck wash. -
Eskimo6804 Thanks this.
