Clark dealer used to give a longevity raise. Something like $.10 an hour add on for each year you had been there. Some of the 10 - 12 year guys in Memphis had a nice rate by then. Lift truck dealers used to be like the small southern truck operation. Decent pay, 4th of July BBQ, Christmas parties to remember, and
they called you by your first name and knew pretty well what your strengths were. Assigned the work you could do well, and all were pleased. Slogan on tailgate of service trucks was "We Hustle". Then they found out about the various "Profit Centers" in accounting....

It's in the cool-aid, sunny-D, and micro plastic in the single serve water bottles. Kids haven't drunk plain tap water in a couple of decades.
