What if it Snows?

Maybe. Maybe not. Nobody really cares except the people with lousy GPAs and the providers looking to hire them.
It's a good yard stick for identifying the under achievers and the poorly motivated. The inherently untalented usually get weeded out along the way. Usually.
Since it's our lives they're screwing around with I think we should have a reasonable expectation of competency. Please note that that attitude doesn't go over well at AMA conventions and hospital staff ####tail parties. Too bad.

 

So says those with low GPA's. Not me tho, never got me no collitch educasion.

Graduated high school one night; May 1953. Went to Bryan Bros. Packing Co, the next morning to see Mr. B . Bryan.
He had asked me at the sale barn one day what I was going to do after finishing school. I told him, "Go to work somewhere I guess."
He chomped on his chew, spit off to the side, and said: "Come see me when you are done." So I am standing in the walk in order/office area the next morning.
Quite an interesting bit. Several people, in ascending positions came out, asked if they could help me, I said no, I'm here to see Mr. B.....He is busy
(I could see him on the phone thru a window into his office) I'd say :Yes 'sir, I will wait. That one would leave, could see him confer with the next about
"that boy out there wanting to see Mr. B". Final one, General Sales Mgr (Hicks) came out, made the circuit, but went into spoke to Mr. B. and pointed thru the window to me. Mr. B looked out, saw me; motioned come with his hand, turned and spoke to Hicks. Hicks came out and ushered me in.
So that is how I got my first job.

Couldn't have expressed it better (or as well) myself. Times; and application of talents, have really changed in my lifetime.

Car12: Car 12, close by, will proceed.
Dispatch: 10-4 Car 12.

Time passes..

Car 12: Dispatch, we have made contact with the assigned report ref Mason St.
Dispatch: What is the status of the situation?

Car 12: It is a fact that shots were fired. A man stepped on the freshly mopped floor in the house and his wife shot him.
Dispatch: Status of the victim?

Car 12: He is dead.
Dispatch: Then I assume you have the wife in custody and will be bringing her in for booking.

Car 12: Uh, Not yet...
Dispatch: And just why not may I inquire???

Car12: Well, Sir, the floor is not yet completely dry.......

 

Nice I learned the trick from the old timers always to throw half a twist in there to keep it from vibrating
