How's everybody doing during the rate slide times? The slide now is real and it gets serious. The same lanes are dropping for a few hundred dollars on weekly basis.
Anyway for me YTD is 11,414 all miles travelled and $27,053.47 gross.
Unfortunately, I can't any longer stay within 200-300 miles all the time to preserve the odometer miles, this freight became barren and I needed to extend the radius. I am doing three leg circles in the Midwest that close within 5 day - 6 days of time span, and render 5-6K revenue, which is enough to sustain my current living expenses. For example, the last two weeks 1. IL-MN $1500 / 400miles 2. MN-PA - $3350 / 1200 miles 3. PA-IL 1300 / 680 miles
then again: 1. IN-WI: $990/360 miles 2 ,WI-PA $ 2500 / 980 miles 3. PA-IL: $1900 / 680 miles (quite a rarity these days)
However, the next week I'll start on Wednesday with IL - MN 1100 / 400 miles (slide) then MN - VA - 3200 ( slide) and then I'll see.
It starts getting to feel as in 2017 or 2019... when staying above 2 dol a mile was quite fulfilling. Except the fuel was at about $ 3 per gallon.Last edited: Feb 11, 2023
