That's quite a trek.
A few of my buddies bought houses in BC recently and my jaw about hit the floor when they told me what they paid for them. Fixer uppers are in the mid 400s now.

Yeah, she's used to it, going on 5 years now. Plans to retire in 5-6 years...I'll still work though lol

that dream to have a nice little house and a piece of land is pretty much dead for me at this point . i’m lucky enough to own half a house with how everything is now . My mortgage when it comes up this year will be around $145 k not too bad really. I go back in forth on my job situation through. Like where i work but the money sucks . My check was $1666 for two weeks after taxAnother Canadian driver and Albertaflatbed Thank this. -

try Innocon also there union my trainer here at kriska went there starting pay was like $27 up to $31 or $32 after a few years ,ot and time in a half if you work saturdays
like other seniority based trucking companies the top guys who have been around the longest get work first and the best runs . So in other words if it’s slow you sit a home with no work and be on call waiting by the phone. That would also be a good question if called for an interview on how they give out work and what’s the chances of you sitting at home and how offen . I can’t think there’s a ton of work right now being it’s winter maybe better to apply in the spring time . if you’re in the gta you will be going to a lot of different and interesting places that’s for sure . Like i said in your other post you need to have thick skin in construction lots of yelling and disrespectful employees and employers.Last edited: Feb 6, 2023

With Innocon you have to watch where they want to put you. The old All mix yards get a slightly lower rate than the old Teskey or legacy Innocon yards even though we are all "supposed" to be one company now.
As for thick skins, there is a lot less yelling than there used to be.
