    Hey all
So I parked for the night here in Wyoming close to Cheyenne on the side of an on-ramp (little angle), 12:50am.I had a quarter of fuel.
Next morning I started the truck and stared my pretrip while walking around I noticed the truck making weird noises and it stalled.
    Dash said low fuel.
I went got myself 2 5-gallon containers dumped in the tanks but truck just won’t start at all.
I had nothing running not even heating it was 34 overnight perfect for me rolled up in covers.
Didn’t attempt to find actual truck stop parking given the time.
Now I’m stuck. I tried purging the air off but it’s not working. I don’t wanna damage the starter.
    any tips?

    Edit: problem solved. Thanks everyone.

Try priming with the pump, keep your tanks above 1/2 in winter.

If you have enough air to release the brakes, you need to get back on level ground or to the left side of the ramp to fill the left tank. If you have a Davco fuel filter, pour fuel into the top of it, filling it full. You’re going to have to crank it, until it starts. It will, eventually. When it catches, hold it to the floor.

Whatever you do, never use starting fluid on that truck.

Im hoping the fuel lines didn’t freeze and the problem is just air I have to drain out.

Fuels all in the right tank. Air is in the left tank, and line. Lost prime. Check under the cab for shutoff valves If you can, shut off the empty tank. Maybe you can crimp off the lines from the empty tank, if necessary, using vice grips. What’s needed is more fuel in the left tank, as mentioned, level ground. Then priming the filters. You’re probably going to kill the batteries. May have no choice but call for road service.

So we're you siphoned, or gauges just stuck when really empty?

I went to bed once in Colorado thought I had about an 1/8th, no low fuel light.

Got up, cranked up, Love's was like 2 miles down the highway, ran out on the off ramp lol.

Fortunately was a Cummins and was self priming.

I’m trying to let the truck free roll to get to more level ground but it won’t even do that when I release the brakes.

Don’t know if you’re on a hill, but rolling in gear will prime the system too.

I just need 1.8 miles to get to the truck stop. It’s a walking distance but not really when carrying a 5 gallon diesel container
Uber is ridiculous charging $55 for a trip this short.
