Only choice is to add more fuel. Another 10-20 gallons. It’s bone dry. Probably runs out with 20 gallons at the bottom of tanks. I myself would shoot some ether in it. Wouldn’t hesitate. But that’s just me.

If it has a shutoff valve like mine, with left right and “both” settings, set it to “right” prime filter, start it up.

Cheaper to use Uber than road service. Get all you need do so hopefully it's a one shot deal. Hopefully you have a primer on the engine. All the best. See it as a learning lesson (some lessons are more expensive than others):rolleyes:

yeah last thing I wanna do is to call those guys.
I’m even considering pumping out fuel from the reefer.

I've done that when needed to change filters. Only because I have anti siphon screens welded in on the truck fuel tanks.

Might be a bit hesitant if reefer fuel is red - however, in a pinch, I would do it anyway.

When you do get it started just go super easy on the fuel pedal and leave it running when you pull up to the pump.. I'd even start right side only filling with engine on to try to allow it to return some to left tank before you splash fuel into the left..

If you have the ability to pump fuel out of reefer, just check to see if fuel level is the same on both tanks, if its higher in one than the other, pump from higher to lower tank....

    I Copy what you're saying.
I've read about a LOT of New Drivers Running Outta Fuel On Angled Ramps as well Flat Ground.
I was told in the beginning, 1999, to FUEL UP when the "Gauge" is at 1/2 REGARDLESS.
Fuel Gauge is correct twice: FULL and M-T.

ELDER TRUCKERS used to use Wooden Sticks dipped in the Tanks way b4 those pesky screen-grids were installed in Tank Necks.

I began many years gone filling up at 500-700 miles depending upon LOAD WEIGHT, WEATHER and TERRAIN.

Thanks 4 Ur Post & Ur Tym!

I guess I have to look at fuel gauge being 1/4 less than what it actually displays.
