A Baptist expression on becoming saved is :"All you need is a little want to in your heart."
I found this similar in farming/cattle (to age 16), truck driving (to age 23), soldiering (to age 26), small loan lending (to age 37), equipment sales (to age 44), starting my own equipment business at (age 45 and running it to age 59) selling it and working off a non compete to age 65. And semi retired.
In all of these I was able to advance in dollars, work effort/atmosphere, better equipped for the future task, etc.

The thing is. You decide to try something that you think you WILL LIKE, be ABLE TO DO, and BE GOOD AT. Then you get after it and become so good at it so you are in demand for that type employment. Honest... I have been approached to become employed for most of my jobs, not that I applied for.
(I did apply for some and failed to get them. In hindsight their loss.)

Hope springs eternal at the craps table and on fuel mileage bonuses...

The irony of the whacked trailer is something I've noticed so many times.

There were four separate big truck crashes in the NMDOT DESIGNED AND APPROVED DEATH ZONE this morning and today.

One guy way off in the desert just a little outside Tucumcari still upright, could just see his running lights. Could also be he went out there to listen to his Pakistani rap where no one would bother him.

The others were pretty gnarly. Two were TOTALLY gnarly.

All pretty much picked up, or being loaded into end dumps when we went by.

Had we left the shipper unfettered Friday morning, would we have gotten tangled up in one of those?
