You must be one of those super truckers I keep hearing about that has every thing figured out. Never once ever had an issue because you started out with 1million bucks. Ha Ha
He said he has title to trailer and it was a 2018 I believe.

Lol, you didn’t ask a question..are you drunk?
You were too busy bragging about having lots of credit cards and a ridiculous debit card…

Something I learned many years ago, you’ll never hear a well off person brag about how much money they have :)

My mistake then: I understood that as the truck in question. I have heard of places loaning repair money on paid off trucks: never heard of anyone loaning money against trailers for broke down trucks. Sounds like a good way to over pay for a used wagon.

There is too much focus lately on cheap hauling. Cheap hauling is relative. There should be more threads explaining how much money one realy needs to run as an independent. That's in absolute numbers. To me, going to places where I could not afford to tow the truck and trailer back home, would be out of question.

If the trailer is worth 25-30K it might be worth it to a dealer or shop to make a deal with him on a loan if he gives the title up. Sure they would want a good amount to add in interest as well.

I don't have black fingerless leather gloves so not a super trucker... Just make good biz decisions and learn from my mistakes... Actually I started with money from my 401k ... Any thing else I can help you with?

Hindsight is always 20/20 but the OP should have addressed his no working capital problem before this breakdown.

Assuming he could still run profitable..He should have sold the trailer when it was empty and financed a new trailer ( use the banks money)

My Great Dane dealership has plenty in stock and a basic one…no money down wouldn’t be a bad payment. Bonus, no trailer worries for a year or so.

Was just talking to the dealer about getting rid of my 2022 for a 24. Walmart dinged it up and it boils my blood every time I look at the damage.

Ha I have been thinking the samething about my trailer. It is a 22 and some ####### hit it where I park my truck. I had sold my older truck and was waiting a couple weeks to get my new one. So it was parked with no truck in front of it. Backed into it and Bent the front corner or course. Thinking about just ordering a new one with a lift axle next year since I do mostly light weight these days. Maybe get enough on a trade in to make it worth while to do it. I hate getting into truck only to look right at that #### thing.
