Thanks RT69, don't want to rob this thread but it would not accept my password to post a new thread.

See your into horses, the wife used to have Saddlebreds and Holsteiners but scaled back to mini's, a lot less trouble for her. To me if you have horses you have a lot of problems! But ya gotta luv it!!!

Wow this is a long post, but man am I glad I read it in its entirety. I want to thank all you for the information. I start class on the 22nd at TDI in Richburg, SC and really had my mind set on a different company. Not saying that I can/will get accepted to KLLM, but this is where i want to be. You all have been very informative and have swayed me from my previous thought process. This sounds like a great company to work for and build a future with. I hope I can be a part of the team soon and be safe out there.
    Thanks again, Gator

I am seriously looking at KLLM now. Getting back into reefer again. One thing that I am trying to find out now is the actual pay scale. I am looking at Midwest Regional and can not find on their web site what actually is the Regional. ALso the pay differences. I have over 10 years, and for regional is one pay, and for OTR it is another. Before you say it, OTR can get you more miles, so then the less pay per mile, but if a regional runs the same avg as otr, then it makes sense to stay regional. I am in China right now so can not call a recruiter. I have sent a email and just hope that they will answer me this time. I sent a email about 3 weeks ago and asked, and as of yet, no reply. Maybe somebody here can help me. I live just east of Columbus, OH and you are around all the time, in fact, Hebron, OH.

    Thanks and be safe all.

KLLM is a carrier that I'd like to know more about. I've read everything on the KLLM website, I live in Mississippi (Gulf Coast), and I'll be in driving school this summer. If possible, I'd like to have a face-to-face talk with any of you who might be running through Gulfport on I-10. I'd be willing to pick you up and treat you to a good meal (not at the Canal Road Flying J, someplace in town). Shoot me a PM if you are interested!

Nah, just visiting the wife again. As far as driving, it is really not that hard. The signs are in English, they have regular service plazas on the highways, and the only difference, large trucks and trailers do not come into the cities. Not enough room. They will off load outside and then the smaller trucks come and get the frieght. It is all their version of cabovers, and the only realy type van that you see is containers. Mostly all flat and what I call cage trailers and half cage trailers. Speed limits are 100KMH

    Belton Bandit Thanks this.
