I was upfront about the ticket with them & the employer told me it wouldn’t be a problem I feel the same way that you probably do whenever I look at it.
Can a trucking company let you go due to height?

Touch freight doesn’t scare me off. I have the heart of a lion lol. I applied to McLane & I’m awaiting for my drug test to come back & get the call for orientation but I would also like a back up too

I think I agree with the other members here. That ticket is doing you in. 15 mph over the limit greatly reduces your options. I had a 17 over ticket when I started, and I ended up starting with Western Express. The now-defunct Willis Shaw Express and Star Transport(Morton, IL also out-of business), and Covenant Transport were the only ones looking my way. I get you may want local or regional, but if you really want to get your feet wet, you'll have to be prepared to go OTR for a period of time. I'm not saying it's impossible to get what you want, but with a ticket like that, you'll need to get experience while time passes. Eventually it falls off.

They can let you go, period. If your going to be in this industry you better get thicker skin. The only one who cares about your stature is you. Put on your boots and go somewhere else. When one door closes it usally opens several we did not see. Buckup Buttercup, move on.

My former son-in-law was short like that and drove for Swift.
He is also a Black Belt in some martial arts.
If someone gave him some problems, he'd warn them one time and one time only.
Then if the person kept pushing, he'd lay them out on the ground so fast they didn't know what happened. He never told anyone he's a Black Belt, outside the family.JoeyJunk, Diesel Dave, Shortythetrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Which company fired you?
JoeyJunk and Shortythetrucker Thank this.
