Wow.. It'sgetting nuts over here.. Snow in Southern California where it doesn't normally snow. It's definitely a recipe for disaster.

Well it looked like going around has paid off. Yesterday i noticed Flagstaff AZ was getting slammed with another road closures, so i avoided all that.

I'm in Southern California now about 170 miles from my home DC where I will park and go home.

Looks like possible snow on my drive home in the Cleghorn pass. Good Grief!! :biggrin_25521:. It's all good. I have 4x4 pickup so shouldn't be a problem.

    Have a great weekend!

I'm confused. What is the relationship with Wilson vs. Ashley? What do you mean the OTR Wilson side of things? Does Ashley not do OTR? Would I be applying to Ashley or Wilson? Just interested in their linehaul. Willing to relocate.

Sorry man, i don't have those answers, it would be best to speak to a recruiter.

All I can say is what I'm seeing as a Ashley driver that was here before they bought them out.

Ashley bought out Wilson, Wilson continued as they were doing hauling there own frieght under Ashley's name and resources. As far as I can tell their pay and how it works is completely different than what I get paid or what I do.

I been working for Ashley before that happened. We focus on hauling our own frieght. Typically Ashley driver's work more local and regional where they are home daily or weekly.

I haul Ashley's furniture out to stores, DC and drop yards with some backhauls and occasional longhaul if I want it. We are considered OTR because I stay out all week serving our stores and dropyards and then home on the weekends.

I will be trying to find out more but as I said it would be best to speak with the recruiter. Phone numbers are on their website. Best of luck!

I looked at their PTP position on their new website. That's the only position I would qualify for. How difficult are some of the store locations?

None of the stores PTP goes to over here are difficult, that i know of. Remember 80 to 90% of the time we are doing drops at our dropyards, DC's and picking up back hauls.

LTL on the other hand is where all the tight spots are. They deliver to all the stores.

It doesn't look like they use the term LTL for any of their positions now:
    Ashley Distribution Services Driving Careers

I'm thinking you might be talking about Truckload Multi-Stop
