My customer I hauled the 336’s for usually has a guy to load and unload on his lot, he’s pretty decent at it. Many fail to line up a dozer or excavator before they get on the trailer, then they’re twisting and ripping on the front of the trailer, makes me want to slap the pee water out of them…..

I had a similar incident with TQL, Ive only pulled for the 2x in the past 4 years and will never pull for them again. I have a thread on here.

My insurance denied the claim, never had any issues. I take pictures also. I tried talking to the claims department from TQL and the agent, to no avail.

I understand the idea behind having the driver load/unload equipment as then the equipment dealer cannot be held responsible for damage to trailers or equipment, but it really doesn't make sense to have a driver that is not an operator and is unfamiliar with the equipment performing this task, especially in the winter with frozen decks. Most good RGN drivers acquire the ability to load and unload very well, often better than an operator would. Getting that degree of experience takes time though.

    I totally agree.

Not every driver has the years of experience on equipment like you and I do.

On my way to load a JD 850 today with only 1 track that pulls, probably gonna be like a 1 legged duck lol….

I've got no love for TQL, trust me, but they're just another middle man here in my opinion. They weren't there and didn't have anything to do with it. Just some scumbag where you delivered it who screwed up and it trying to get off the hook by blaming the truck driver.

    No news here.

It has happened to me by the way. Must've been a good story the lying customer told this broker too. He called me a week after delivery and started the conversation with "Why didn't you just tell me you hit one of their company trucks when you delivered?" I was like, huh? You better back up and explain yourself and stop throwing blame my way. I own up to my mistakes.
I had never been to that recipient before and there were no other trucks anywhere near me before, during or after delivery.

Anyway, I told the broker to have the company where I delivered review their parking lot cameras. I never heard from them again.

Had my wife send an email with our documentation (pics) and CC everyone that was on the email chain, TQL, H&E and insurance.
I was more upset that they didn’t reach out to us, just went straight to the insurance.

I agree, I’ve seen many a good operator that can’t load a trailer worth a ####. Simply because they’re not use to teetering the break over while only having 2” of track on the metal. And like you said add in rain or snow it can get tricky.
I normally don’t let anyone load or unload on my trailer u less it’s a requirement IE: Keen, Sany etc

Yep that’s how they did me. I never unload and park. I unload it and get it out of the way so I can attach back to trailer.
For instance have any of you been to Gregory Poole Cat in Raleigh? Barely any room to turn around let alone unload… I unloaded a motor grader there yesterday….
