The number one problem is that most schools and trainers don't know how to teach how to back. I remember Roadmaster and think about how little they taught about the basics of backing like bending the trailer and pulling up to correct the trajectory of the trailer into the spot. My trainer was the same way. Virtually nobody knows how to explain it.

That’s for sure. Poor Guy yesterday couldn’t figure it out. No idea how he passed his road test. I’m lucky I had my Dad teach me the simple basics. The real skills come with practice. I worked for a Company once that would send a Driver to work as a spotter if he needed practice. Seemed absurd. But it worked. Sometimes it’s better to practice alone. Trial and error.

Lots of young people will not put their phone down for more than 8 seconds. It's hard to teach them anything.

I learned to drive in Boston! Lol I live there for the first 34 years of my life. I can understand why some people wouldn't want to drive a truck there. The traffic is horrible.

I grew up in Mass too, lots of traffic with ignorant/distracted drivers. I always called "rush hour" 2 lies for the price of one. You arent rushing anywhere, and its more like all day instead of an hour. Takes 20 minuted to drive in from 128 without traffic, make that atleast an hour, closer to 2 anytime between 6-10am and 3-7pm. Theyre all over the "emissions" but they have no problem with traffic sitting idling for hours. They even try to push some BS "more lanes cause more traffic" to justify not improving any of the roads. Going north, 93 cuts to 3 lanes in Mass, get to NH and its suddenly 4 lanes, its like parting the Red Sea.

Oh yea my man... I know ALL about it. I lived through the "Big Dig". I spent plenty of time in traffic on 93. I use to be a auto damage independent field appraiser. I lived in the south shore and my shops were all in Dorchester, Roxbury, Hyde Park, etc.
