    I applied to ABF Freight and the requirement outlines are as shown;

    • Have 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (Candidates with less than 1 year experience may be eligible for training).
    I applied, having less than 1 year of training, received an email back saying: Thank you for your interest in ABF. We require all applicants to have a minimum 1 year tractor trailer experience - but what?

    So I showed them a screenshot of their job requirements, asking if this qualification was made in error, just to get ignored.

    Why get people's hopes up? What do they gain out of this? Second time it's happened.

    But it states "may be eligible. "
    One might assume it depends on the desperation of the particular terminal

    Says may be eligible... With today's market they won't have trouble filling that spot.

    Just heard FedEx freight is going thru a second round of layoffs, offering transfers but will continue to pay for benefits of those laid off.

    I appreciate the replies, seems like everything is pretty slow near me. I've been interested in LTL for a while now, when do they typically pick up? April, May?

    Thanks !!!

    May be eligible for training. They may only have trainers and training facilities at some of their locations.

    Just continue to apply at nearby freight terminals.
    Never know when you might get lucky.
    Timing is everything when it's slow.
