I saw a pickup with a utility trailer hauling a bobcat skid steer that went through the floor on the right side. The wooden boards broke and the rear wheel sank down several inches. I tried to snap a pic but couldn’t in time with the traffic. I bet unloading that thing was a nightmare. Also only had 1 chain total and it was slack.

Have a hard time believing that… no one could be that dumb. Wow. I watched it several times and saw nothing, not even nailed to the wood strips.

That's a 911 call right there. Don't waste time with the non emergency number somebody's gonna die soon.

I’m awfully curious what the story is on this. Looks like coils of gas pipe, like what we carry. My understanding is, some shippers don’t like straps on the product. In fact, I see loads of smaller coils come in to us often where only the pallets are strapped, then the pipe is heavily wrapped and banded to the pallets. I don’t like it, but that is how they do it. Of course, once it gets onto MY trailer, I have my own way of doing it.

What I’m getting at is, could those pallets in the video be secured to the deck by some other means? Nails or something? I just can’t believe even the dumbest flatbedder in the world (and I’ve met some dumb ones!) would go down the road with something like that completely unsecured.

He didn’t have straps threw the pallets, i would doubt they were nailed. I think it was a case of laziness mixed with a dose of not my job

I live about 30 mins from the border... trust me that is very tame compared to some of the #### I see headed south in town here towards the border.. They stack furniture in a Chevy pickup I swear is close to 13ft tall. All secured with ropes. Pulling a trailer full of mattresses, stacked sky high. I ought to post a picture sometime . #### like that is just another Tuesday down here :biggrin_25523:

This idiot is was in the process of dropping his trailer double parked in front of pull out spots. I couldn't get out with a 45' and he's acting like I should have said something before he parked. What kind of moron can't tell they're in the wrong for blocking 6 trucks from leaving just so he can swap trailers?

Sorry I confused the bad parking thread.
