We were milling I-70 around Colby, KS last year and the asphalt contractor is supposed to make ramps at the bridges out of cold patch. Well, they made a 10" long ski jump. 65mph Work Zone and empty vans and hoppers were airborne, spread axle flats were heaving up and down a foot and the poor RV's with cars in tow sounded like they were breaking in half. The bridge deck looked like a yard sale from stuff liberating from the undercarriages of the unsuspecting motorists. I actually called KDOT pretending to be a motorist and very sternly stated what was happening. Within 15 min said asphalt contractor fixed their ski jump.

 

More of the same tomorrow, my old arn struggled all day.
