Pilot really went down hill fast. 3 out of 4 locations had showers down because they don’t want to clean them.

I had one instance where they had me park in the fuel island because the paid spots were stolen. Luckily in short order they had them moved and I could get an actual spot.

If I paid for a spot and they're not moving anybody then that means I'm hogging a fuel island spot all night.

They can just refund your money and tell you to move. That is an option as well.

If they won't refund for a spot you can't get to due to hours or choice one second after making the reservation I won't accept their refund of the spot I require due to their failure to police their lot.

The Flying J in Fort Wayne Indiana did that to me late one night. Also the TA in Columbia New Jersey did it once. I hope both managers got fired.

You are not paying to park. You are paying for a reservation. If you don't know you need a reservation until you get there and find the lot full then you aren't planning your trips very well. You should know which areas have limited parking and either get there early of use the app to reserve a space. There are some truck stops I would never go to without a reservation, Bloomsbury and North Bend being at the very top of that list.

Add Southington, CT to that. Reserves sell out around 5pm if not earlier thanks to the nearby Bazzuto's warehouse.

It's nice they cleared a spot for you.

On the other hand, if they are unwilling to move people out of the reserved parking but are willing to close down a fuel line so you have your parking, that is just as good.
In that case, you are not hogging it. You are being accommodated for, and with permission.

    What a great idea.

If they won't kick somebody out of reserved parking that didn't pay say okay well I'll just go ahead and park on the fuel island and go to sleep being you set the narrative that you all will do nothing.
