I just spoke with Sam at PDQ. he said we can get 500 hp from the CPL 1807 (350 hp stock), but it will run about 4 to 5 degrees hotter over stock.
anyone see an issue with that?
thanx

Drive it by the EGT gauge, preferably in the manifold. Keep TIT 1250° or less on a hard pull.

I decided to swap it out for a 60 series Detroit 500 hp. It just had a rebuild, got it for $8k.little cat 500 and KB3MMX Thank this. -
I'd love to know because mine is 1994 CPL 1574, CELECT, ESN 11704261...It has 3 erroneous codes; low coolant level, low but adequate oil level, and one for intake manifold pressure (I think).
All sensors are new, cleared all codes and they just come back. Wiring harness from battery fox forward is all brand new, new pass thru connectors, new in head connectors are new. All that and we can't get cylinder 6 to fire!? We have also replaced injectors with reman 3652542RX, but wish now I had gone with BIGGER and better hard parts....or swapped it out entirely with something less tedious.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
