daddy&mama2go Thanks this. -
Uni's are okay, but I've never found an advantage to them - sometimes you just can't find anything else in many sizes. What makes them a really bad fit is if you happen to have different front/rear sizing - then you can't rotate tires at all (and the tire companies LOVE that).mitchtazz said: ↑i haven't x rotated my tires on my POV's in over two years. i started buyin unidirectional tires.. they're great in the rain, just can't switch sides with em, can only move the front to the back, and the back to the front..Click to expand...
I've got Uni's on one of my cars, from the factory, and there are few "normal" treads in that size - so I may have to replace them with the same. I still rotate them front to rear, and I even had a local shop lose their mind once and install them reversed........ that didn't take long to find.
I suppose if you carry a full-size spare and you need to use it, you have a 50/50 chance of getting lucky - and can always find a shop soon to reverse the tire to the right direction. And that's alot easier than finding some odd size/type/tire in the middle of nowhere on a weekend trip! -
You say you blew oil all over the place, and that it was "probably rings". Where exactly was the oil coming from??sigman said: ↑i took one trip with my truck blew oil all over the place took it to three cummins dealers all told me probobly rings so made my desision which shop to take it too the shop called ntp to get all the details about warrenty ya they will cover that but he also asked what if the motor is toast there answer was then it was my baby what a joke so i am in the middle of fighting that battle as far as the rebate your supp ose to get from buyying a truck from arrow guess what never got it so the time my truck broke down to the time it gets past the 30 day warrenty i was only able to put 3000 miles on the truckClick to expand...

Nice looking pete! ummmm please tell the story, you just kinda slipped the new truck in without a word.

It's quite simple really.
When I bought my Freightliner Century, I bought it full well knowing that I would replace it within the following year. It was a high miler and therefore I was able to get it for very little money. An oil analysis done on the truck proved to be correct, that it was in decent shape mechanically. I ran the truck and also followed my plan of putting money away for it's replacement. She started throwing some codes and running weird, so I figured it was either overhaul or trade. The overhaul would have cost more than the truck was worth and I'd still have a truck with well over a million miles. I took that money (and some I didn't want to spend) and got this truck.
Thing is...in order to make it in any business, you HAVE to, MUST keep your overhead down as low as possible. I got a SMOKIN' deal on this truck and plan on keeping her happy and healthy, as I'm not interested in a new one with all the DEF, SCR, DPF crud on it.Fratsit, newly crusin and HwyPilot Thank this. -
