This is the harsh reality. You’re correct 90+ percent of them are all the same game. There’s still a few gems left out there. When I stumble on one that I haven’t before I always make sure and note it. The longer I’m out here, the longer I can’t stand staying at the franchise type truckstops. I’d rather park in the alley behind some industrial area than most of those places.
What truck stops do you avoid? Location and name?

Flying J in Ehrenberg, AZ has to be one of the worst places in the country for fuel island blockers. This is in the middle of the day when there is plenty of parking which is why I never fuel there anymore.
D.Tibbitt and Keepforgettingmypassword Thank this. -
The sad reality is that pilot and flying J have gone downhill so fast, most of them are disgusting. Loves is the worst as far as getting in and out in a timely manner. I sleep in rest areas or at customers 90% of the time. For truck stops mom and pop independents are the best option.

Love’s I-69 exit 176 in Capac, MI. The fuel island is always packed with new canadians taking their 30 minute break.

Loves at I-35 exit 471 in Denton, TX. Every time I go there even just for DEF, 30 minutes minimum. Always have issues with their pumps being slower than hell. TA across the highway also, but never have fueled there myself. They're usually maybe 2 deep at the pumps though times I have passed it.
Loves pump 19 took 37 minutes to pump 130 gallons of diesel. I stopped there just because I live two miles from it. Pump 19 is bad bad bad.Keepforgettingmypassword and austinmike Thank this.
