Caught a double broker scammer

    doubt it. Truck stop nor DAT seem to care at all when we turned them in. Truck stop guy straight up said it happens all the time.

    I think the only way to get rid of the double broker scams is to raise the bond amount.
    it’s easy and cheap to get a 75k bond. And you can scam a lot of money in a short amount of time.

    How do I up load a video. I recorded talking to this double broker douche. Kinda funny but definitely proves it’s a scammer. Can I email it to a mod so they can bleep some language. I’m not computer savvy

    I dont know if there is a way to upload it here. Mods may be able to help if they arent busy. Ive talked to so many of them calling on our postings that i can tell immediately if its one of them.

    I recently received an email from Carrier Assure that I received a review from a broker....I have to pay to see the review? I created an account and it tells me to upgrade for $149 per month

    I would think the first thing a broker needs to do or a carriers is check to see if they are in good standing with dot
    Licensing & Insurance Carrier Search then check the secretary of state web sight for that state Secretary of State Information and Resource Directory!

    The broker is not the only responsible party to pay a carrier. A bill of Lading is a contract between the shipper/consignee and carrier so if the broker does not pay for a load your company delivers they can't be held responsible. I would recover the full amount promised, the broker is working as an agent and should have done their due diligence to screen the company they are hiring. Run that carrier name he brokered the load on DOT and tell me what you find Licensing & Insurance Carrier Search then run on the secretary of state and tell me if you find the company, Secretary of State Information and Resource Directory! then let me know if the broker should have paid the carrier 2900 or the amount the carrier was promised. Don't ever settle for zippo

    Your first notes said you brokered a load to another broker, as a broker it is your responsibility to do your due diligence to screen companies and you should have run the information through DOT, to begin with, and the secretary of state. My experience with Truckstop has been very different and they do care, they have been able to get paid on double-brokered loads. You're the broker that didn't pay the carrier the amount he was promised so what research and screaming did you do? This seem to fall on your shoulders and you should have been responsible to pay the carrier the entire balance not just 2900.

    no I brokered a load to a Trucking company. Reread the post your wrong. What I did was right. I paid the carrier that actually delivered the load. Even though I am under no legal obligation to pay him. I don’t have a contract for that load with him. The carrier that I brokered the load to has went silent after I called them out. I have the entire phone call recorded. So I guess there is one trucker in this world that can and has thanked me for saving his ###. I actually paid him instead of a fraudulent company who would have paid him not one red cent.

    are you saying the broker can not be held responsible? If that’s the case then why do I have to maintain a bond on my brokerage?
