I don't know the reefer market, but almost $2.20 all miles looks pretty good for me these days.
Last week I've missed a $5,000 run from Jackson, MS to Las Vegas, NV and I'm still upset about it.

Yeah it's ok for as bad as things are out here. It's not what it should be making though, not anywhere near. It's not even my truck so there's that too. That's working only with brokers and a truck will never reach it's potential working for brokers. I'm tired of it and ready to move on. There's no future in it.
JoeyJunk, Siinman, BoostedTeg and 1 other person Thank this. -
Actually you are not in a bad position, you are still making at least $30/hour, which is not bad.
You don't khave to pay a driver wage or $1500/week for the truck.
A lot of people and companies will go down sooner than later and then the gold rush will
start over for those who survive.alds, Siinman, rollin coal and 1 other person Thank this. -

Well I get unloaded in the morning on this load. It was 20K from MO to MA and ran 67 most of the way here. Lots of wind from MO to IN and then it finally calmed down. Today had a few stop and go moments with a few wrecks that took about 2 hours to get through. Over all not too bad, I ended up with 8.6 MPG's on this trip. I think I would had been in the 9's pretty easy if not for that pesky side wind in MO and IL.
Next I have a trip lined up to go back to MO at 43K. Then I have another load that is from MO to WI @ 40K. Then I need to find something out of that area to either get back home or go for a long trip over the weekend. Will see what falls in place during the week. Maybe by that time my lift axle will be in and I can see if I can get the trailer scheduled to get in shop. -
Well I drove through NYC on way back and lost about 3 hours of my hours sitting. So now I am stopped for the night and having to run 70 MPH the rest of this trip. It kind of screwed my week up with my hours.
I found a load to go back home but with all that extra time sitting I will need to run fast as I can so I don't run out of my 70. I just figured out the time and I will be very very close on my 70 when I deliver. I think I may be down to a few minutes if I run into any traffic. Ha Ha Oh well at least I am having fun driving fast and fuel has been a little cheaper this trip.
So with that being said I doubt I will get 8 MPG's over this time period. I have not been interested at all in saving fuel going through the mountain area. Ha Ha
I guess it will be a good number to see if I was in a hurry with heavier loads. To bad these loads was not 15K or less as it would not be to bad. I think I am at 8.4 at this moment.RedForeman Thanks this.
