The carbon emission calculation is based almost exclusively on mpg saved.
Egr is to reduce nox, but it does so at the cost of more carbon emission... (energy expended)
Depending on what the stretched vehicle does, its going to be 50% more polluting (taller the load/trailer) to absolutely dead average.
