If you have issues that prevent you from driving it is no wonder that no one will hire you.

That alone should cause you to reconsider a driving career.

"honestly hoping the anxiety subsides with some experience even with the responsibility"

Hoping really doesn't cut the mustard.
You really should not be driving a truck until you resolve it. It makes you both a liability and a danger.

He refused to drive for Schneider so my guess is that they scorched his employment record..

OP, check what’s on your DAC, Hireright or whoever Schneider snitches too. May need to find a plan B away from all the tattle tale companies :)

Unless you’re under a Dr’s care and on a prescription then it’s probably best to NOT volunteer personal health problems.

    Oh, how cute!
They have kinder, gentler ways of saying shove off :)
Did they at least give you a participation award?

Sorry, these nanny companies make me giggle!

anxiety and trucking..... stay home keep your mental's. Trucking is just going to put more pressure on you in certain situations and sounds like its just not a good idea. maybe look into city, or town work through DPW. good luck!

    tscottme Thanks this.

    I appreciate that, I guess.
Look, driving OTR or anything is a lot harder than it looks. If you're prone to anxiety issues, this probably isn't the job for you. Driving requires you to be on the top of your game all the time. If someone cuts you off, you have to be prepared to react.
Here's another way of looking at it:
I used to fly Cobra helicopters in the Army. Driving trucks is way harder.
