Prove it… because what you’re saying is every single company in this industry is going to them… That is wrong again..

Every single mega turd company like JB may have them eventually but for the rest of us it’s not an issue.

Even Schneider’s legal team in Green Bay advise them not to put inward facing cameras, because of ambulance, chasing shyster lawyers… So Schneider went to the cameras on the mirrors, video tape down the sides of the truck and forward facing on the windshield… That would make more sense

List of just the MEGA companies with driver facing cameras as of 2019, there are hundreds of smaller companies that should be added to this list:

    Trucking Companies Using Driver-Facing Cameras
One company that makes cameras from trucks, Lytx, claims to have 650,000 units installed in trucks. That is ONE company and there are a dozen or more companies that make these cameras. So like I said, you can run, but you can't hide. I hate them as much as the next person, but unless you own the truck, there is little you can do to prevent one from popping up in your truck.

I don't see a company on that list that I would drive for. My company had a forward facing camera and one facing rear on each mirror. They would lose a ton of drivers if they went to driver facing cameras, and experienced chemical tank drivers are hard to replace.

Which is really funny because a driver carrying 45000lbs of hazmat doesn't have a driver facing camera but a driver carrying a load of air conditioners does.

I suppose everyone has to go with the crowd lest they be chastised, one of the reasons I did kind like Mr Trump is he said things straight up although this did not always win him alot of support, and then my option of him changed after he lost the re-election in 2020.
Anyway long story short is obvious why some won't like camera's just as some don't like gun control, invasion of privacy etc, etc yadda yadda yadda, the last 2 jobs I've had both had inward and outward facing camera's as well as side cameras in fact this last job had two inward facing cameras. So why I'm all for cameras more than against them is for this very simple fact is when its your word against theirs then the camera's prove who is telling the truth, the only ones I find that would not like camera's are those that may be operating a vehicle in a dangerous manner, eg, talking on a mobile phone, texting while driving, eating and driving, drinking and driving. All which could cause a distraction and have the potential to result in a serious road incident, and why most companies are wanting to install cameras. Those that are not familiar with how the cameras work more than likely won't like them and think its an invasion of privacy, most inward facing camera's only come on occasionally or when there is an actual incident like a driver has a micro sleep. It sets off an alarm. Bottom line is its all about safety. No contrary to popular belief the boss does not want to know when your picking your nose, or rubbing your you know whats, or to spy on you, however to be fair I think if any company makes it compulsory to put in driver camera's then the CEO should also have cameras in their own office just to set an example.
